FAQs
Are you based in the USA?
Yes. Innovative Vending Solutions is proudly based in Dayton, Ohio, where our machines are configured, customized, tested, and prepared for deployment. Machines ship to and from our Dayton facility, giving our clients a U.S.-based partner throughout the entire process.
How long has IVS been in business?
IVS was founded in 2008 and has more than 18 years of experience creating custom vending and interactive machine solutions. We were an early innovator in experiential vending, including pioneering our vending machine rental program and introducing solutions such as social-media-activated vending and touchscreen-integrated custom claw machines.
What is the typical lead time for a machine?
Most projects have a lead time of approximately 4-6 weeks. Depending on machine availability, project complexity, and how quickly assets are provided, we’ve completed projects in as little as 1-2 weeks. Highly customized builds, software development, or complex integrations may require 8-12+ weeks. Our team will establish a project timeline upfront based on your specific requirements.
Do you sell or rent machines?
Yes. IVS offers both machine purchases and short- or long-term rentals. Regardless of which option you choose, your machine can be fully customized to complement your brand, campaign, event, or installation.
Can the machines be used outdoors?
Yes, with proper protection. Machines may be used outdoors when placed under a tent, canopy, or covered structure and protected from rain, direct sunlight, excessive moisture, and extreme temperatures. Our team can help determine whether your planned environment is appropriate for the equipment.
Do the machines require an internet connection?
Many IVS machines can operate without a continuous internet connection. However, internet access is recommended for remote troubleshooting, software updates, field changes, data retrieval, and certain connected applications. Machines can typically connect through Wi-Fi or a hardwired Ethernet connection.
What are the power requirements?
Most machines operate on standard 110VAC / 60Hz power and use a standard three-prong outlet, typically drawing approximately 5 amps. Refrigerated machines generally require approximately 10 amps. Machines can also operate from a properly sized generator when traditional electrical service is unavailable.
Does the machine include custom graphics and branded software?
Yes. Customization is at the core of what we do. IVS machines include a custom vinyl graphic wrap and can incorporate a fully branded touchscreen experience. We provide the appropriate artwork templates and specifications; your team supplies the approved creative assets, and IVS handles printing, installation, software configuration, and implementation.
How is the machine delivered to and picked up from my event?
IVS coordinates with experienced third-party logistics partners to arrange scheduled delivery and pickup directly at your event or installation location. White-glove service is also available, including uncrating the machine, moving it into the designated location, and positioning it for use. Our goal is to make logistics as seamless as possible – from arrival through return.
Does a technician come with the machine?
IVS maintains a nationwide network of technicians who can assist with installation, setup, testing, and on-site training. Our technical, most machines are designed to operate independently. For clients who prefer additional support, dedicated event technical assistance can also be arranged for part or all of an event for an additional fee.
